Regional Medical Doctors in Tanzania Mainland have been given one month to ensure that, they are conducting a comprehensive Regional health and District Management Committees to see if they are in line with the pace of the proposed five-phase Government.
The order was given in Songea by Deputy Secretary General's of the Office of Regional Administration and Local Government Mrs, Dorothy Gwajima, while speaking to members of the Ruvuma Regional Health Services Committee and members of the Health Services Committee from the Namtumbo District Council, Songea District Council and Songea Municipality.
Gwajima said she gives them 30 days Heads of Regional to ensure that, they are conducting an evaluation of the members present in their offices if they are capable to continue their positions of oversight role in the health care services in their regions and councils.
Dr Gwajima added that, if it is found that, some of the members of these committees do not have the qualifications that make them fail to carry out their responsibilities of managing and managing health services in their areas, their leader of States will have to put aside those Members and re-establish Committees that can improve the agenda in the health sector.
"In contrast to these visits when, if I fond there is a Regional Doctor who is still quiet, and on his duty station there shortcomings isavailable are will never conqure it ," said Dr Gwajima and adding:
Dr. Gwajima congratulates service providers who recognize their duty to be, the client is a king and has asked them not to be discouraged by some unemployed of the workplace to bring it to the customer.For his part Ruvuma Regional Doctor, Dr. Jairy Khanga has promised to take early steps to change the performance of the Health Services Management Committees in Ruvuma Region.
